« on: March 19, 2013, 07:59:48 PM GMT GMT »

Also as an afterthought, i don't see why more people in the industry don't use facebook, say what you will about it, it is a good marketing tool.

You haven't seen all the stuff that I've sculpted this last year that's not been released yet. ;)
Seriously though, "dollies" are a real boon to a sculptor working on a uniformed range.

TBH, I didn't want to use Facebook out of sheer stubbornness i.e. not wanting to do the thing that's "cool". It's a fairly common thing, just think of that cool, underground band that you like.....when everyone else thinks they're "cool" ypu don't like them anymore. The "page" rather than personal one is weird, quite restrictive but I really don't need another distraction with a personal page!

A few heads taking shape here.
The last picture is of resin cast of helmets that my brother kindly sculpted for me.

Those look really great! I love the "feel" of the heads. They look cool.

Latest update.
I've received the master castings for the first two sets and done greatcoat conversions to give an alternative look to the figures. Added to that is the Prussian head variants plus some hooded heads with rebreathers.

Loads to update this week!
First up we have the first painted casting from my very talented brother, Stephen.

Followed by a plethora of new heads.

And to plonk the heads on there's a selection of command, casualties and special weapons troops.

That 'little' project has quite  a bit of potential. The heads in particular should prove quite useful for a lot of stuff.
I like the fact that your VSF/ steam-whatever minis ain't covered in random cogs & gears, makes them far more 'real' and believable looking.

Will the heads be available as separate packs- need some fez heads - not quite sure for what exactly, but I can still figure that out later (I have this vague idea featuring Hawaiian shirts & tikis )?
