Shiflett Bros 'Monster Rider Challenge 2'
« on: November 17, 2012, 12:02:37 AM GMT GMT »
Couldn't describe it better than Brandon Shiflett himself:

Quote
It's baaaaackkkkk! The Shiflett Brothers' Forum's "MONSTER RIDER CHALLENGE 2!!!"

You know the drill: Sculpt something or someone riding a monster, creature, or beast. That's it. It's that simple. Your sculpt can be any material, any scale, and does not have to be totally finished to be judged. If you are a ZBrush or program guy, that's fine too. Everyone is welcome. Photos of your Monster Rider are required to be posted in the FINAL ENTRIES THREAD on or before Febuary 1st, 2013.

Joining BRANDON and JARROD in judging this year are: Legendary Industry Sculptor MARK NEWMAN; DC Direct Sculpting God TIM BRUCKNER; and Sideshow Collectibles, Bowen Designs, and DC Direct Master Sculptor JOE MENNA.

The Prize Package includes resin kits and statues from THE SHIFLETT BROTHERS, TIM BRUCKNER, JOE MENNA, and MISFIT JAKE, with more to be announced (Feel free to contact us if you want to donate to the Prize Package.) This prize package will easily be over ONE THOUSAND DOLLARS worth of kits and statues!

More detail to come, please hit us up with any specific questions.

Now get to sculpting your Monster Rider!

Still, the more I think the more I'd like to sculpt one of the creature concepts that I've drawn. I can't imagine I'd win and there aren't 37hrs in the day last time I checked but still....

Some nice minis on there. It would nice to see scales of the sculpts though. They seem to be too good for 28mm

yeah the shifflet brothers competitions are mostly large scale models ( 1/6 and 1/10 and alike ).
It's a great competition that had some really mindblowing entries AND very original designs. I'd love to see some more creatures from you Andrew.

I've actually been commissioned to make some cool creatures but I can't say what they are I'm afraid! As for personal works, that stack of drawings will have to gather dust for now....
