Anyone entering?

Perhaps... I thought things would slow down following Salute, or enough to allow me to rest. Alas, I've been hit by a tidal wave of inspiration and am starting a plethora of new projects as well as desperately trying to get closure on some outstanding projects!

Nice to be busy though :-)

I might participate. It sounds like a great theme to go fanboy nuts with.

Sci-fi themed contest with LOOOONG deadline and not so rigorous rules?

Me gusta, especially since I didn't sculpted much in a while.

I'm working on some things for this as well.
I'd love to get some feedback, but unfortunately the rules don't allow me to post pictures publicly.
Would anyone, who's not taking part or in another way involved, be willing to have a look and give me some pointers?
I'm especially lacking the experience to judge whether it's all fit for metal casting (both thickness of elements and small undercuts).

So did any of you manage to make the deadline?
I have a sculpt in there. I'd be interested if there's more than me from here.

Sadly I had no time and no inspiration came to mind. Too many projects lately and not enough time!

I got two models in, but I had to rush both a little.
As expected, they didn't really stand up to the competition, but I'm still glad I took part.
Congratulations on your first place in the Alien category.
The winners are all great pieces, although I'm not too fond of the proportions of Jack Sutter's humans if I'm honest.
Depending on how large and expensive the final set of casts is, I may get one.

Thanks a lot Jona. There was some stiff competition in that category. I'm very happy with my first place. Which were you entries?

The two Fimo humans, provisorily called 'The Merchant King' and 'The Pirate Queen'.
A long way to go still.  :)

I wonder when the next one will be? Probably a year off I guess.

I don't think there's a set frequency. The previous one was quite a while ago I believe (wasn't around yet, then).
If I'm not mistaken they use the sales to fund the forum upkeep, so as soon as they're starting to run out of money, they organise a new one.
I hope it's as soon as next year though; I really enjoyed it.

I think I'm almost up to a standard where I can complete a sculpt, so I am looking forward to the next competition. The 2014 Froth Eisley one I thought was best to sit-out because I wasn't up to a good enough standard.
